Game Recap

The Flashes had a great win on senior night to finish off the regular season Tuesday night. They were able to contain a sharp shooting Westfield team to only four made 3 point attempts on the night. Seniors Keyla Hines, Chessa Mitchell, and Lindsey Owens showed great composure in leading the Flashes especially during times of adversity when Westfield went on some big runs in different times of the game. The Flashes took care of the basketball and shared it with one another by totaling 13 assists. Efficiency in the second half for the Flashes was a huge part of their success by scoring on 58% of their possessions. Another strong point for the Flashes was their free throw shooting making 15 out of 19 attempts. This win moved Franklin Central to 10-11 heading into sectional play next Friday.

All nine players who played tonight scored for Franklin Central, leading the way was Rachel Loobie who scored 26 points which tied her season high for the third time. The other eight scorers were: Keyla Hines (8), Chessa Mitchell (6), Katy Larson (6), Lindsey Owens (6), Andrea Adams (4), Alexus Mobley (3), Madison Potts (2), and Sammi Wessel (2).

The six players that helped the team reach their 13 assists were: Chessa Mitchell (3), Lindsey Owens (3), Keyla Hines (2), Andrea Adams (2), Rachel Loobie (2), and Katy Larson (1).

The third big factor in the night was rebounding. Franklin Central out rebounded their opponent 27-18. Rachel Loobie had 12 total rebounds, teammates Keyla Hines (4), Chessa Mitchell (3), Andrea Adams (2), Lindsey Owens (2), Madison Potts (2), and Alexus Mobley (2) helped contribute to the positive margin on the glass.
