Multiple Teams · Flashes Cheerleaders Attend UCA Cheer Camp at IU

This summer, the FCHS cheerleading squads attended a 3-day stunt camp at Indiana University. Throughout the camp, the cheerleaders learned new stunts, cheers, chants, dances, and worked on team-building.

Throughout the weekend, many individual awards were given out
Payton Hale received the Pin it Forward Award. This award is given to a cheerleader who stands out as a leader, mentor, and kind cheerleader on the first day of camp.

Khloe Ferrell won the backtuck competition for the most standing back tucks performed in a row.

A combination of freshmen cheerleaders won the competition for longest hang drill held.

Isabelle Chandler and Khloe Ferrel were both finalists in the jump-off.

The following cheerleaders received All-American recognition:

Claudia Johnson
Aiyana Griffin

The three squads competed individually for the Game Day Showcase and placed as follows:

Freshmen: 1st place
Junior Varsity: 1st place
Varsity: 2nd place

The three squads performed the Xtreme Routine together and also received an award for kindness and good sportsmanship. This award is presented after votes from all the squads that attend camp.
