On Friday, May 31, Malachi Quarles became the first individual state champion since 2012 for Franklin Central. Malachi won the 110m high hurdles in :13.91 and the 300m hurdles in :38.10. Following the conclusion of the meet, Malachi was also recognized as the winner of the Robert S. Hinshaw Mental Attitude Award in Boys Track and Field. Malachi will be attending Georgetown University in the fall to study Government and African-American Studies and continue his track career. Congratulations, Malachi!
