June 3rd – 5th, Franklin Central High School offered their first Speed and Agility clinic.  The clinic, geared toward incoming 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students,  focused on footwork, change of direction, reaction, and body awareness to become better, well-rounded athletes. Franklin Central wins HCC Spring Sportsmanship Award

Congratulations to the Franklin Central Spring coaches on winning the Hoosier Crossroads Conference Spring Sportsmanship Award. This award, voted on by each coach and Athletic Director from each of the eight member schools, is awarded each season to the HCC school that displays the best sportsmanship by its students, parents, coaches, and hospitality toward visiting team.

Lady Flashes medal two, finish 18th at IHSAA State Championship

On Saturday, June 1, the Franklin Central Lady Flashes finished T-18th at the IHSAA State Track and Field Championship down at Indiana University. Competing for the Flashes this year included the following: 4th – Discus (Cassie Evans) 22nd – 4x800m Relay (Audrey Comastri, Emma Coney, Cami Farmer, Sydney Welch) 4th – 1600m Run (Jada Reedus) 22nd

Quarles Wins Two State Titles and Mental Attitude Award

On Friday, May 31, Malachi Quarles became the first individual state champion since 2012 for Franklin Central. Malachi won the 110m high hurdles in :13.91 and the 300m hurdles in :38.10. Following the conclusion of the meet, Malachi was also recognized as the winner of the Robert S. Hinshaw Mental Attitude Award in Boys Track
